Case Study
Multimodal learning for rare disease education
January 28, 2026
Situation
Ahead of a disease state awareness campaign in a rare therapeutic area, a client needed to ensure cross-functional teams could speak with confidence and credibility about a complex disease landscape. High scientific complexity and the need for consistent messaging across customer-facing roles created significant readiness challenges. The organization needed a cohesive, scalable, and engaging learning experience to equip cross-functional teams to clearly articulate disease burden, patient pathways, and therapeutic rationale ahead of launch.
Solution
We developed a robust, multimodal curriculum of 25+ coordinated learning assets including eLearning modules, microlearning tools, videos, workshops, and an immersive Train the Leader experience. This curriculum delivered stepwise disease education, progressing from core concepts to deeper patient and treatment insights.
To reinforce real-world application, we created an interactive live workshop embedded into regional sales meetings, enabling discussion, practice, and coaching. The Train the Leader framework equipped managers to reinforce learning and maintain consistent, aligned messaging across field interactions.
Success
The learning ecosystem significantly elevated pre-launch readiness, with 90% of participants reporting they felt “prepared” or “very prepared” to engage in scientific and customer discussions post-training. The Train the Leader approach was quickly recognized internally as the “Gold Standard” for launch readiness and adopted as the preferred model for future programs within three months. The curriculum’s design and sequencing drove measurable gains in knowledge, confidence, and alignment across all customer-facing teams.
