Avalere Health ranks #19 in MM+M’s Agency 100
June 13, 2025
Avalere Health is pleased to announce our #19 position in MM+M’s annual North American Agency 100 list. With a renewed focus on people, product and purpose, our team of Advisory, Medical, and Marketing experts unite across the product lifecycle in pursuit of our mission of EVERY PATIENT POSSIBLE.
Avalere Health has placed #19 in the 2025 MM+M Agency 100, a ranking that conveys our dedication to excellence and continual growth. For the sixth year running, we proudly stand in the top tier of this prestigious listing.
In another challenging year for the biopharmaceutical industry, we have continued to take significant steps forward. Our commitment to operational growth and maturity has led us to expand our network of pharmaceutical and biotech partners and drive growth across key accounts, as well as successfully integrating all legacy businesses under one clear mission: to reach EVERY PATIENT POSSIBLE.
Through our mission and strategic SenseMaking approach, we are taking a stand to leave no patient behind
“EVERY PATIENT POSSIBLE is not a tagline or an empty promise,” said Amar Urhekar, CEO. “It is a commitment to bring our agency to life through the assets, skills, experience, wisdom, and influence we’ve generated over decades, and connect it back to our individual mission.”
Unified by this mission, our expert Advisory, Medical, and Marketing teams partner with our clients to unlock a new future, turning the most complex challenges into opportunities and innovation. EVERY PATIENT POSSIBLE is our ‘why’, ensuring that every action we take is in the service of improving healthcare for every person, everywhere.
In addition to making an impact across the product lifecycle with our clients, we are investing in multi-year partnerships to overcome deep-rooted issues in patient care and health access. The first of these is our Rural Health Project, in collaboration with the University of North Carolina’s Flagler-Kenan Business School. With rural health disparities impacting over 30 million people in North America and up to two billion worldwide, it is critical that we invest our time and resources into developing sustainable business solutions to address inequities in care, access, and delivery.
Despite the current golden age of scientific and technological innovation, many people remain unable to benefit from the healthcare they desperately need, lacking access due to a complex ecosystem of inequities and barriers. We are determined to make a change, utilizing our proprietary and strategic SenseMaking approach. More than a methodology, this combination of human ingenuity and strategic tools transforms the challenges of systems, society, and science into actionable insight. The result: strategies and solutions that connect across the product lifecycle, bridging the gap between access and innovation to make real, tangible change.
The right team at the right time
2024 was also marked by an influx of new leadership at Avalere Health, bringing together the best minds in policy, medical communications, marketing, and strategy to work intentionally towards our mission. These trailblazers are supporting our Advisory, Medical, and Marketing experts to collaborate across disciplines, offering end-to-end excellence across the product lifecycle.
Amar Urhekar took over as Chief Executive Officer in December 2024, building on foundations of operational efficiency, agility, and intentionality that he laid in his previous role as Chief Operating Officer. The Global Leadership Team was bolstered by the addition of Corrina Safeio as President, Global Marketing and EVP, Corporate Communications in September 2024.
Additional notable hires include Roshan Rahnama as EVP, Advisory, tasked with spearheading our cross-capability our Market Access Marketing offering; Ian Ray, Executive Creative Director, Global Marketing; TJ Cimfel, Chief Creative Officer, US Marketing, Rodney Sexton, Chief Strategy Officer, and Ashish Bassi, Chief Technology Officer.
The leadership team was also bolstered by notable internal promotions. Ryan Mason, former Chief Marketing and Creative Officer, was elevated to Chief Strategy Officer; Julie Spoleti from EVP, Managing Director to General Manager, US Marketing, and Milena Sullivan from Managing Director to Practice Director, Advisory.
These new hires and promotions represent an ongoing commitment to bring best-in-class talent to the mission of making EVERY PATIENT POSSIBLE across disciplines.
Augmenting human expertise with technological innovation
In February 2025, we launched a suite of proprietary AI- and data-driven tools as part of our proprietary SenseMaking approach, making it easier than ever for our colleagues to unite their expertise across client projects. Coupled with our S.E.N.S.E framework to ensure a common language and approach, our teams are equipped with the data, mapping, insights, and planning tools to operate efficiently at pace and at scale, accelerating the delivery of solutions to ultimately reach every patient.
“It makes unconventional connections happen on a day-in, day-out by connecting science, systems and society in a way that has not been done before. We have always had the assets, skills, influence and wisdom to make positive change, but by aligning ourselves to our one audacious goal, we are now on a course to truly making EVERY PATIENT POSSIBLE.”
