Wendy Jory, PhD, MBA, global and US pricing and market access leader, joins Avalere Health as Senior Vice President, Market Access

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Wendy Jory, PhD, MBA, as Senior Vice President, Market Access. In this pivotal role, Wendy will lead our market access team, a core part of our Advisory capability that helps US and global biopharmaceutical and life sciences clients navigate pricing, contracting, and reimbursement at a time when the path from approval to patient has never been more complex.

Wendy has experience as both a consultant and Avalere Health client. She joins from GSK, where she most recently served as Medicine Commercialization Lead, Product and Portfolio Strategy, leading global cross-functional teams to shape commercialization, lifecycle, and business development strategy for immunology, respiratory, oncology, and rare disease assets. Before that, she spent five years as GSK’s Head of Pricing and Contracting Strategies for Global Market Access, where she built the company’s global pricing and contracting capabilities and developed innovative models to improve access to specialty and rare disease therapies. Earlier in her career, she spent more than a decade in strategic leadership positions at Life Technologies, now part of Thermo Fisher Scientific.

At Avalere Health, Wendy will deepen collaboration between the Advisory capability’s market access team and its policy and evidence and strategy teams, ensuring that clients’ access strategies anticipate the pricing and reimbursement implications of a fast-changing policy and market environment. Beyond this, Wendy will partner closely with our Medical and Marketing leaders to build connected strategies that carry the value story from evidence generation through to payer and patient, both in the US and globally.

Wendy holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from Emory University School of Medicine, an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and M.S. and B.S. degrees in Chemistry from the College of William & Mary. Now based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Wendy also advises biotech startups and venture capital firms and serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for Carolina Spine Specialists.
