
Mekhi Washington supports healthcare organizations with research and analysis on a wide range of health policy issues. Before joining Avalere Health, Mekhi served as a senior research assistant at The George Washington Milken Institute School of Public Health, where she conducted qualitative policy research for agencies in CMS, CDC, the DC Department of Health, and several nonprofit organizations. Her work consisted of conducting literature reviews, comment letters, memos, white papers, manuscripts, and legislative tracking for clients on Medicaid managed care, HIV/STI/SUD prevention, and CMS interoperability and network adequacy rules. Additionally, she served as a health policy client services assistant at McDermott+ Consulting, where she summarized congressional hearings for clients across various health policy topic areas. Mekhi holds an MPH in health policy and management and BS in public health from The George Washington University.
