Yiwen He supports clients with data-driven analyses using medical and pharmacy claims as well as other healthcare data to quantify policy impacts and regulatory changes. At Avalere, Yiwen's focus areas include bundled payment policy analysis (Enhancing Oncology Model ' EOM, Oncology Care Model ' OCM, and Bundled Payments for Care Improvement ' BPCI etc.), patient journey study, healthcare outcome research, and part D formulary analysis. Prior to joining Avalere, Yiwen was a Policy Lead at Acumen LLC, conducting data investigations and analytical analyses in SAS for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). She analyzed Medicare Part B claims data, cost reports, and occupational mix surveys data. These analyses quantified Healthcare Common Procedure Codes' (HCPCS) utilization and billing patterns, calculated Ambulatory Payment Classifications (APC) prospective payment rates for the Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) and Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) System, and summarized nation-wide and core-based statistical area wage indices. Prior to that, Yiwen was a research and data analyst with NPower where she maintained a Salesforce database for workforce development programs, provided regular data updates, and created reports. Yiwen has a BA in Planning, Public Policy, and Management from University of Oregon and an MPA in Public Policy from New York University.
