We are delighted to announce Rhiannon Meaden, Ph.D., has joined our Medical capability as our new Head of Medical Strategy and Transformation.

Rhiannon is a highly accomplished and globally recognized leader in the medical communications industry, bringing more than 20 years’ experience in transforming scientific insights into meaningful impact for healthcare professionals and patients.

She spent the past nine years at IPG Health Medical Communications, where she led the team as Global Head of Complete HealthVizion. Before joining IPG Health, she spent a decade working at Adelphi Communications, part of the Omnicom Group, where she held senior leadership positions in Global Scientific and Global Business Development functions.

At Avalere Health, Rhiannon will refine the Medical team’s strategic priorities and drive measurable business transformation. She will lead the team in bringing our EVERY PATIENT POSSIBLE mission to life, partnering with ourAdvisory and Marketing capabilities to uncover untapped challenges across the healthcare landscape and develop unconventional solutions that ensure no patient is left behind.

Rhiannon holds prominent positions at prestigious industry associations, including as Board Member and Chair of the Foresight Committee at the Healthcare Communications Association and as the former Chair of the International Society for Medical Publications Professionals (ISMPP) Europe Programme Committee. Her influence as a global thought leader continues to shape the evolution of the medical communications industry.

She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Liverpool and is based in the North West of England. Outside of work, she loves traveling – her most recent trip saw her riding horses, sampling fermented shark, and exploring volcanos in Iceland. She regularly engages in voluntary work, including in a vaccination center during the COVID-19 pandemic, and her annual distance challenge has seen her take on thousands of miles to raise money for healthcare charities.
